Subspecies (or species) brachyrhynchus

2021-10-30. Игорь Фефелов:

Alexander, welcome!
Do you mean the bird indicated with an arrow here, or do all depicted birds belong to brachyrhynchos?

2021-10-30. Alexander Hellquist:

Thank you, Igor! Sorry for being unclear. In the photos with flying birds, the brachyrhynchus is the one with extensive white on the primaries. In the photo of the flock on the ground, the brachyrhynchus is the one indicated with the arrow. The other birds are kamtschatschensis. I am not sure about the status of brachyrhynchus in Russia, but I guess that it should be a regular visitor to Chukotka?

2021-10-31. Игорь Фефелов:

It was known as a vagrant to Commanter Islands. Probably it should be more frequent visitor there; please look at photos on https://fareastru.birds.watch/ and may you find more individuals of brachyrhynchos there.

And maybe you have a reason to register at Birds of Russian Far East and post these photos there as well.
